The applicant herein has applied to this Court for rectification of his birth certificate under Section 100 of the Civil Status Act.
The applicant avers that his mother’s name on his birth certificate has been recorded as Mireille Albert instead of Marie Ginette Renaud. As per the documentary evidence filed on record I am satisfied that there is sufficient proof to show that the applicant is the son of Marie Ginette Renaud.
I accordingly grant the application and direct the Chief Civil Status Officer to amend, correct and rectify the birth certificate of Sandy Saunders Suzette Register No. 0086 of 1978S by deleting MIREILLE ALBERT as the mother’s name and inserting MARIE GINETTE RENAUD instead.
