R v Soopramanian (MC 4 of 2014) [2014] SCSC 225 (03 July 2014);
Order
[1] I have considered the submissions of learned counsel for the applicant and the respondent. Section 30 B (8) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) sets out clearly the requisites of an application under section 30B (1) (b) of the CPC. It is apparent that the application filed in this instant case lacks many of the said requirements as contained in section 30B (8) of the Code.
[2] Learned counsel for the applicant is ordered to bring his application in conformity with section 30B (8) of the Criminal Procedure Code prior to seeking an order from this court.
Signed, dated and delivered at Ile du Port on 3 July 2014
M Burhan
Judge of the Supreme Court
