Counsel and Attorneys Fees Regulations

1.

These regulations may be cited as the Counsel and Attorneys Fees Regulations.

The fees payable to counsel or an attorney assigned under 212 of the Seychelles Code of Civil Procedure shall be as follows:—
(a)When counsel or an attorney is assigned to study the brief and to report whether proceedings should be entered: a fee of Rs 150;
(b)When counsel or an attorney is assigned to take care of the procedure only and does not appear as an advocate before court: a fee of Rs 150;
(c)When counsel or an attorney is assigned to take care of the procedure and appears also as an advocate before court: a fee of Rs 300 and if the hearing lasts for more than one day a fee of Rs 150 for every additional morning or part thereof, and a fee of Rs 100 for every afternoon or part thereof, on which the proceedings continue.
