1. Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Customs Management (Export Permit) Regulations, 2014.

2. Goods which require export permit before exportation

(1)The goods listed under column (1) of the First Schedule appended to these regulations are restricted goods, the exportation of which are prohibited without a permit granted under these regulations.
(2)Any person exporting any goods listed under column (1), the HS Code and the description of goods are given in the corresponding entries under columns (2) and (3) respectively, of the First Schedule shall, prior to the export from Seychelles of such goods, obtain a export permit in writing from the authority specified in the corresponding entry under column (4) of that Schedule.

3. Grant of export permit

(1)Any person exporting any goods referred to in regulation 2(1) may make an application in Form I of the Second Schedule for grant of export permit to the concerned authority responsible for the grant of the export permit of such goods.
(2)On receipt of the application under subregulation (1), the authority shall, on being satisfied, grant an export permit in Form II of the Second Schedule authorising the applicant for exportation of the goods mentioned in the permit on such conditions as the Assistant Commissioner of Customs may impose under section 190(4) of the Customs Management Act, 2011.
