Heard:
Counsel: Mr. Ananth, for the Republic
Mrs. Amesbury Attorney at Law for 2nd and 4th Accused
Delivered: 19 July 2016
I have considered the plea in mitigation made by learned counsel for the 2nd and 4th accused. I have also considered the age of the 2nd accused and the fact that she has already been detained for a period of 14 days. I have considered the fact that accused No. 4 is already serving a term in respect of another offence.
I therefore proceed to sentence them as follows; I sentence the 2nd and 4th accused to a term of 3 months imprisonment suspended for a period of 2 years.
I also proceed to fine the 2nd accused a sum of SR1,500, payment to be made in 2 months time and I will not impose a fine on the 4th accused because she a serving a term of imprisonment. The 2nd accused is to pay the fine of SR 1,500 by 30th September 2016.
Nature of suspended term of imprisonment explained to the 2nd and 4th accused.
