[1] The Convict is 22 years old. At the time of the accident he was 20 years old. He is a driver and he is driving a pirate taxi. He has a dependent child who was born last year.

[2] Learned Counsel has asked the Court not to impose a harsh sentence on the Convict. The circumstances of this case is one which have not been related here as they are not relevant.

[3] I impose a fine of SR2,500 which is one quarter of the maximum fine. And I will also suspend the driving licence of the Convict for 6 months. The Convict has one month to pay the fine.

[4] He can appeal against the sentence within 30 working days.
